Semolina Sannas

Sannas go well with Sorpotel but they also make a great snack at teatime or otherwise.
Sannas
Ingredients:

750 gms. Semolina
2 coconuts
1 bottle coconut toddy
Salt to taste (1 level tbspn)
Sugar (optional, only if you want sweet ones) – 2 tbspns

Method:
  • Grate the coconut taking care to avoid the shell.
  • Coarsely grind the grated coconut.
  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Put in idli containers or little bowls and steam.
  • Serve as a snack or serve with Sorpotel.
